My name is Jack Carek. I'm a musician and audio engineer based out of Los Angeles. I graduated from the University of Oregon in the summer of 2023 where I majored in Popular Music Studies and Audio Production. 

I have played music for almost my entire life, but it wasn't until the fall of 2022 that I took a real interest in audio engineering. My professor, Lance Miller, encouraged me to try my hand at tracking outside of class with whatever gear I could find. I took his advice and quickly caught the recording bug. 

Since then, I have had the opportunity to engineer a handful of incredible projects. Most of these were recorded in homespun studios (basements, living rooms, studio apartments) with my traveling rig. 

My current musical projects include my solo act (Jack Carek), as well as psych rock trio EWEB. I also contribute as a guitarist / vocalist in local bands Devon Earth and Creakbed.
